By Pat Mills, Gary Welsh & Phillip Vaughan Historical materials by Professor Chris Murray
A hard‑hitting First World War graphic novel from Pat Mills, creator of 2000 AD and Charley’s War. Ragtime Soldier follows Robbie McTaggart of Dundee’s Black Watch as he’s thrown into the brutal reality of Loos and the Somme — a story told with Mills’ trademark anger, humanity, and political bite.
The stark, expressive black‑and‑white artwork by Gary Welsh and Phillip Vaughan gives the book its raw, documentary feel, supported by historical context from Professor Chris Murray.
The Deluxe Hardback is the collector’s edition of Ragtime Soldier — upgraded materials, enhanced finishes, and a prestige feel that reflects the significance of the project.
